OpenAI announces DevDay 2026
OpenAI set 29 September in San Francisco for its next developer conference, and later added an eight-city international tour alongside it.

OpenAI announced that its annual developer conference, DevDay, would return on 29 September 2026 at the Fort Mason Center in San Francisco, inviting developers to register for notifications ahead of applications opening. The company did not disclose an agenda at announcement.
DevDay has been OpenAI’s venue for major API and product announcements at its previous two editions, in 2023 and 2025. Applications for the 2026 event opened later, in June, with a capacity-limited in-person track and a keynote livestreamed for free to remote viewers; OpenAI also added DevDay Exchange events in cities including Bengaluru, Tokyo, Seoul, Paris, Berlin, London, São Paulo and Mexico City.
