Kanishka Narayan was appointed the United Kingdom’s Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, a role his government profile records as held jointly across the Cabinet Office and the department responsible for business, science and technology. The Labour MP for Vale of Glamorgan, elected in 2024, had served since September 2025 as a parliamentary under-secretary in the science and technology department before the promotion.
