Alliance for the Future (AfTF) is a Washington-based non-profit that advocates for what it calls a pro-innovation stance on artificial intelligence and positions itself against those it labels AI "doomers". Founded in 2024 by Brian Chau, who serves as its executive director, it lobbies lawmakers and the media against measures it sees as slowing AI progress. Its leadership has drawn criticism: a 2024 investigation by Transformer reported a history of racist and sexist remarks by Chau.
