Beth Barnes
Beth Barnes is the founder and chief executive of METR (Model Evaluation and Threat Research), an independent non-profit that evaluates whether frontier AI systems can autonomously carry out substantial or dangerous tasks. She previously worked on safety and scalable oversight at OpenAI and on forecasting deep-learning progress at DeepMind, and was named to TIME's 2024 list of the 100 most influential people in AI.
