Ethan Mollick is a professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and the writer of One Useful Thing, the most widely read practical guide to working with AI. His running project — carried on in his 2024 book Co-Intelligence — is treating each new model as something to be used for real work first and theorised about second, and his "which AI to use right now" guides have become a fixture of the era.
