Sierra is a US company, founded in 2023 by former Salesforce co-chief executive Bret Taylor and former Google executive Clay Bavor, that builds AI agents for customer service. Its systems are sold to businesses to handle support conversations by chat and voice, an area where firms have looked to cut or augment call-centre work. The company raised at a reported $10bn valuation in 2025 and around $15.8bn in 2026, backed by investors including Sequoia, Benchmark and Greenoaks; Taylor is also chairman of OpenAI's board.
