Google launched Gemini Enterprise, an all-in-one workplace AI platform that Sundar Pichai described as “the new front door” for AI at work, letting employees chat with company documents, data and applications and build or deploy AI agents grounded in that data without writing code. The product effectively renamed and expanded Google’s earlier Agentspace platform.
The launch was aimed squarely at Microsoft 365 Copilot’s enterprise foothold. Gemini Business, aimed at smaller teams, launched at $21 per user per month on an annual plan; Gemini Enterprise tiers started around $30 per user per month, with a higher-capability “Plus” tier priced further above that. Google cited internal adoption figures to make its case — saying 65% of Google Cloud customers already used its AI products, and that close to half of new code written at Google was AI-generated — alongside customer case studies including a nurse-handoff tool at HCA Healthcare and a delivery-rescheduling tool at Best Buy.
The launch continued a pattern common to 2025’s enterprise-AI push: bundling model access with governance, security and agent-building tooling rather than selling the model alone, on the reasoning that non-technical staff want packaged workflows rather than a bare chatbot. It positioned Google alongside Microsoft, Salesforce and a growing field of agent-platform vendors competing for the same corporate budgets.
