Suno raises $250M Series C at $2.45B valuation

Suno raised a $250 million Series C at a $2.45 billion post-money valuation, led by Menlo Ventures with participation from Nvidia’s venture arm NVentures, Hallwood Media, and returning investors Lightspeed and Matrix. The round valued the company nearly five times higher than its $500 million Series B eighteen months earlier.

TechCrunch and Music Business Worldwide, citing figures from the company, reported Suno’s annual revenue at around $200 million, driven mainly by subscriptions — a sharp rise from the company’s earlier stage, though neither outlet cited an audited figure. Suno’s own announcement did not disclose revenue, framing the capital instead as funding for professional-grade tools, its Suno Studio generative audio workstation, and social and collaborative features.

The raise closed while Suno remained a defendant in copyright infringement suits brought by Sony Music, Universal Music Group and Warner Music Group, alongside separate suits from the Danish rights body Koda and Germany’s GEMA — the same body that had recently won a comparable suit against OpenAI over unauthorised training use. Investors backed the round despite this exposure, betting on Suno’s growth and, implicitly, on a settlement path similar to the one AI image and music companies had begun striking with rights holders elsewhere in the industry.

That bet paid off almost immediately: six days after the round closed, Warner Music settled its suit against Suno and signed a licensing deal covering future AI-generated music, under which Suno agreed to retire its unlicensed models during 2026. The Series C thus marked the point at which Suno’s private-market valuation was set with its legal risk still unresolved, just before the industry’s litigation-to-licensing shift reached the company directly.
