Replit is a US company, founded in 2016 by Amjad Masad and others, that runs a browser-based coding environment used by millions to write and run software without local setup. From 2024 it leaned heavily into AI with Replit Agent, which lets users describe an application in plain language and have the system build it — part of the wave of tools marketed for "vibe coding". The company said its revenue grew sharply through 2025, and it raised in 2026 at a reported $9bn valuation.
