World Labs is a US startup founded in 2024 by the Stanford computer scientist Fei-Fei Li, widely credited as a founder of modern computer vision, to build what it calls "large world models" — AI that understands and generates three-dimensional space rather than only text or flat images, an ambition it frames as "spatial intelligence". Its first product, Marble, generates explorable, editable 3D worlds from text or image prompts. The company emerged from stealth with a reported valuation around $1bn and by early 2026 said it had raised more than $1.2bn in total, with backers including Nvidia, AMD and Autodesk, amid growing investor interest in models that reason about the physical world.
