Figure AI raises over $1B Series C at $39B valuation

Humanoid-robot maker Figure AI said it had raised more than $1 billion in committed capital in a Series C round, putting the company’s post-money valuation at $39 billion. Parkway Venture Capital led the round, with Brookfield Asset Management, Nvidia, Macquarie Capital, Intel Capital, Salesforce, T-Mobile Ventures and Qualcomm Ventures among the other participants — a mix spanning infrastructure investors, chipmakers and corporate strategics rather than robotics specialists alone.

Figure said the money would fund three things: expanding production and deployment of its humanoid robots into homes and commercial settings, building GPU infrastructure to train and simulate its Helix AI platform, and a new data-collection effort using human video and multimodal sensor input intended to improve robot performance in unstructured, real-world environments.

The valuation marked a rapid climb. Figure had raised $675 million in a Series B round in February 2024 at a $2.6 billion valuation, when it also signed a collaboration agreement with OpenAI to develop language and reasoning models for its robots. Reaching $39 billion roughly 18 months later put Figure’s valuation at around 15 times that earlier figure, without the company having shipped robots at meaningful commercial scale in the interim.

The round placed Figure among the most highly valued companies in the humanoid-robotics field at a moment when investor interest in embodied AI — models that act in the physical world rather than only generate text or images — had accelerated, drawn in part by the corporate participants’ own commercial interest in seeing a market for household and warehouse robots emerge. As with the Series B, the valuation reflected anticipated rather than demonstrated deployment.
