The AI Policy Network (AIPN) is a Washington non-profit that lobbies Congress on advanced AI, founded in 2024 and led by president Mark Beall — a former head of AI policy in the office of the US Under Secretary of Defense and a co-founder of the AI-risk consultancy Gladstone AI. It describes itself as an association of AI researchers, national-security figures and entrepreneurs working with elected officials to prepare the United States for powerful AI systems, and it was among the groups backing the AI Kill Switch Act in 2026. It is registered as a 501(c)(4) "social-welfare" organisation — a status that does not require it to name its donors — and it has not published its funding sources, so its backers are not publicly known.
