An early recipient of investment from the OpenAI Startup Fund, it sells mainly to large law firms and corporate legal departments, and reported rapid growth in recurring revenue. Its valuation rose steeply through 2025 and into 2026, reaching a reported $11bn, making it one of the most highly valued companies applying AI to a single profession.
